Named for prominent community leader and rancher Benjamin Campbell in the 1850’s, this city is today a thriving, growing community of more than 37,000. The Pruneyard Shopping center and Towers are the centers of attraction of this family-oriented community. The city is also home to light industry. Campbell’s elementary and high schools rank in the top 10% of schools state-wide.

The home of Apple Computer boasts its shares of computer companies. With a growing population of 43,000, Cupertino is also home to De Anza College, the largest community college in Santa Clara County. Cupertino’s elementary schools rank in the top 4% of the state and the high schools are also excellent.

In contrast to many of its neighbors, Los Altos has gone out of its way to limit commercial growth. This prestigious and quiet community prides itself on schools that score among the top 2% in California and features a village-like downtown shopping area. Bordering Los Altos on the west is the exclusive residential community of Los Altos Hills. Covering 10 square miles, this city has a 1-acre minimum for new construction. Los Altos Hills is also home to one of the county’s community colleges, Foothill College. The two communities have a combined population of 35,000.

Located just moments from Silicon Valley, Los Gatos combines yesterday”s charm with today”s modern lifestyle to a population of just over 30,000. Tucked against the majestic Santa Cruz mountains, Los Gatos more than lives up to its maxim as ““the Gem of the Foothills.”“ It offers quaint boutiques, lively restaurants, eclectic coffeehouses and beautiful galleries. With it”s extraordinary schools, proud heritage, exquisite architecture and close proximity to Bay Area attractions, Los Gatos provides the perfect environment for both home and business.

Mountain View is located at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay. The city is home to some of the top computer and electronic firms. Its most striking feature is the NASA-Ames Research Center. With a population of over 70,000, housing is a blend of single-family and rental properties, which makes it a logical choice for single business people. Mountain View is home to the Shoreline Amphitheater and sports a newly revamped downtown and Chinatown section. Its elementary schools are ranked in the top 10% in the state and there are many parks and recreational areas.

The Cambrian neighborhood is about four square miles nestled in a quiet West San Jose location. Known for its wonderful family neighborhoods, excellent schools, convenient commute and easy shopping, Cambrian has long been a desirable address. Located in one of Money Magazine's top ten most livable US cities, Cambrian has a very low crime rate and many high-ranking schools. Students in the Cambrian area attend the Cambrian School District, which holds very high academic standards. Students average in the top quartile on both the reading and mathematics sections in standardized testing and the school receives grants to support effective, progressive instructional strategies in literacy such as the Noyce Grant Program. Close to downtown San Jose, yet far enough to escape the "big city" feel, Cambrian can enjoy San Jose's professional hockey team, a symphony, art, culture, and recreation, whole also taking advantage of its own neighborly atmosphere and convenient shopping. Once known for its popular mineral springs and limber industry, Saratoga is a charming, woodsy residential community of 30,000. Today Saratoga is known for its downtown village of trendy boutiques, cafes and antique shops. Elementary schools are ranked in the top 3% statewide, with its high schools placing in the top 2%. Home to the wealthy and influential, Saratoga is a stunning, modern community.
